This is an incredible tour taking in 3 World Wonders in 3 countries in one compact but comfortable tour. Machu Picchu near Cusco in Peru and the Corcovado in Rio, Brazil have recently been voted New World Wonders, throw in Cusco, Buenos Aires and the totally mind boggling Iguasu Falls in Argentina and Brazil and you have an unforgetable tour.
Remember: We custom make this trip to suit you, if you wish to add days or change schedules just let us know, we are here to make it perfect.
After your arrival at Lima airport we will transfer you to your chosen hotel in the Miraflores area of the city. For some you will be staying at the Casa Andina Classic or similar. For luxury travellers it could be the 5* Miraflores Park Hotel or the superb Casa Andina Private Collection (subject to space of course). Enjoy the rest of the day as free time to wander the parks and browse the shops, and enjoy the world renowned Peruvian food.

After a hearty breakfast you will enjoy a full day tour of the colonial center of Lima. You will be visiting the Lima Cathedral and the Convent of San Francisco amongst other heritage sites in the old center. After lunch, possibly at La Bisteca, you will visit a museum of your choice, the national museum or the gold museum for example. The evening can continue, if you wish, with a visit to the spectacular fountain park in the center of Lima. This is a full day of sightseeing in this crazy but historic metropolis. After you are finally worn out we recommend recovering with a dinner and show at one of our favorite restaurants where you will see traditional music and dances from all over Peru.
DAY 3
This morning you will be transfered to Lima airport for your short flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in the ancient capital of the Inca Empire we will meet you and take you to check-in at your chosen hotel. For some travellers this might be the boutique hotel Casa San Blas or similar and for luxury travellers the fabulous Monasterio Hotel, subject to space of course.
In the afternoon you will enjoy a Cusco city tour visiting the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the Cusco Cathedral and the most important temple of the Inca Empire, the Coricancha - Inca Temple of the Sun.

DAY 4
After pick-up from your hotel today you will enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will be visiting the Inca ruins of Pisac (if on a private tour), the Market at Pisac (on all tours), a great place to buy souvenirs and the lovely Inca site at Ollantaytambo. You will have an English-speaking guide all day and a great buffet lunch in Yucay included in the sunny valley. You will then spend the night down in the valley to take advantage of a change of scene, more oxygen (as you are 800 meters lower), and a shorter journey tomorrow on the train to Machu Picchu.
We recommend these 2 hotels but there are many more that we use in all price ranges. Casa Andina PC Valley and Sol y Luna are our favorites.
DAY 5
Today you will have an early start to catch your chosen train to Machu Picchu which will be either the standard service (called thje "Backpacker", but that is a misleading name we feel), the Vistadome or the luxury Hiram Bingham service. The advantage you have is that you have stayed in the valley overnight and therefore don´t have to get up as early as you would in Cusco to catch the train. A taxi will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the station or if you are staying in one of the hotels really close to the station you can walk there.
After being met in Aguas Calientes by your guide you can drop off your overnight bags at your hotel and then take your bus transfer to the Machu Picchu site to enjoy a private tour with a qualified English speaking guide. Take the rest of the day as free time to enjoy this incredible site. In the late afternoon you will return to your chosen hotel in Aguas Calientes, the town that nestles in the valley below Machu Picchu.
For some travellers we recommend the Inti Inn or similar. For luxury travellers we recommend the Pueblo Hotel or the Sumaq Hotel, both excellent high end hotels down in the village. If you prefer to stay right at the gate of Machu Picchu you could choose the Sanctuary Lodge as its location cannot be beaten.
Today you will be able to re-visit Machu Picchu and enjoy this fabulous site at your leisure. You may choose to climb Huayna Picchu, the peak that overlooks Machu Picchu (400 people per day only) and affords fantastic views and photo opportunities. In the late afternoon you will board the train for your trip back to Cusco. You will leave the train at Poroy, the last station before Cusco, for a faster and more convenient transfer by road back to your hotel.
DAY 7
Today you will fly to Lima and catch a connecting flight to Buenos Aires, the timings will depend on which flights are available at the time you book but if you have alot of time to wait in Lima for your connection we could take you for lunch maybe or you could kill time in the 2 excellent VIP lounges in Lima airport. After arrival in Buenos Aires you will be met and transfered to your hotel in the city center. Take the rest of the day (if there is any!) to relax and enjoy this stylish city. In the evening you will feel like trying one of the excellent restaurants and maybe a few bars on a night out. Speak to us about all the options. Recomended hotels include one of the 4 star Dazzler Hotels in various locations in Buenos Aires.

During the morning you will have a guided tour of various cultural and historical areas of this very interesting capital. Your afternoon will then be free for you to do whatever takes your fancy and in the evening you will enjoy a Tango show and dinner. Tango is a passion here and you will have a superb night out, we recommend Piazzolla or any of our other favorite Tango shows.
DAY 9
After an early breakfast you will be transfered to the airport for your one and a half hour flight to Puerto Iguazu. You will be met at the airport and be taken to your hotel to check-in. After checking in you will have an excursion to the Brazilian side of these truly breathtaking waterfalls (please check Visa requirements). The Iguasu waterfalls are some of the most impressive natural wonders you will ever see, you will be astounded.
During the afternoon you will have a spectacular boat ride right under the falls, its a truely amazing experience that you will never forget! Overnight in Puerto Iguazu.
DAY 10
Today you will have an excursion to see the falls from the Argentinian side of the falls. You will pass through the Iguasu National Park enjoying the lush jungle environment, the huge rapids and very impressive falls. In the afternoon you will return to the hotel and be able to relax and wander. In Iguasu we recommend the Grand Iguasu Hotel for a little luxury but there are others in all price ranges too.
Day 11
Today we will transfer you across the border to catch your flight from the Foz do Iguasu airport to Rio de Janeiro. After arrival we will then get you to your hotel in the Copacabana area of town. The options for hotels here are numerous and will all depend on your budget and preferences. (remember to check Visa requirements for Brazil).

In the afternoon we will collect you for your half day tour to the new Wonder of the World, the Corcovado, or White Christ statue, towering over the city of Rio. The views are unforgetable and you will be astounded! The afternoon will be free to hit the beach.
Today you will take a tour to see the other very famous Rio landmark, the Sugar Loaf Mountain, which you will ascend by a two stage cable car. The views from this site are also incredible, you really cant go wrong, make sure you have plenty of space on your camera memory card. You then have more time to catch some rays on the most famous beach in the world, the Copacabana.
DAY 14
After breakfast you bid fairwell to Brazil and will be transfered to the airport for your flight home or to your next holiday destination with us at Escaped to Latin America.
This tour can be extended further if you have the time and energy, Galapagos and even Mexico to visit more World Wonders. Just let us know and we can give you an extended fantastic itinerary to maximise your time here in Latin America.
