Santa Cruz:
The capital city of the Santa Cruz department in Bolivia lies at an altitude of 416m above sea level and has a tropical climate with an average annual temperature of 70°F (21°).
Over the last 30 years, the city has expanded and developed dramatically – probably due to its fame for beautiful women and friendly people. Santa Cruz is the staging post for visits to the Jesuit missions circuit, the ancient site of Samaipata and the city is also the departure point for the "train of death" which runs very slowly and inconsistently to the Brazilian border.
