When you arrive at Puerto Montt Airport you will be driven to the city of Puerto Varas, which is also known as the ¨City of Roses¨ and is located on the shores of Chile´s largest lake, Lake Llanquihue. Take a slow walk along its beautiful shores and take in the incredible view of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. You will then head back to Puerto Varas where you will spend the night at the Solace Hotel or the Melia Patagonia.
Wake up in the beautiful Chilean Lake District and take a slow drive along the shores of the Lago Llanquihue where you can take in the sights of the Ensenada to Petrohué and stop off at the National Park Vicente Pérez Rosales. Why not take a break at the breathtaking Petrohué Falls which are known for their incredible emerald coloured waters? After taking in the beauty of the falls and national park, head into Petrohué where you will be whisked away by catamaran across the lake Todos los Santos to the magnificent town of Peulla. A delicious lunch will await you at the Hotel Peulla, afterwhich you can take a stroll around this enchanting place or visit one of its many waterfalls. You will then return to Puerto Varas.

After a hearty breakfast, you will visit the quaint city of Frutillar which is located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. Founded by the Germans in 1850, Frutillar is home to an outdoor museum entirely dedicated to these pioneers and is soon to have the best golf course in South America, designed by Jack Nicklaus. Upon returning from Frutillar, you will have the afternoon at your leisure in Puerto Varas, where you will again spend the night.
Today we head to Pargua where you will cross the Chacao Channel by ferry and onwards tothe beautiful Chiloé Islands. Upon arrival, you will make your way through to Ancud, the second largest town on the island which is famous for its traditional markets and offers tourists a wide array of crafts and delicious seafood. After a perusal of local museums, visit the San Antonio Fortress which was built in 1777 and then take an optional lunch at one of the local eateries. You will then continue your journey north-west of Ancud to the penguin islands ¨Islotes Puñihuil¨ (only November to March). After a brief discussion, climb aboard a boat which will take you to the only place where the Humboldt and Magellan penguins breed side by side. While you are not allowed to walk around the island, in order to protect the delicate wildlife, you may be able to view sea lions, pelicans and cormorants.
After a sumptuous breakfast, you will be taken to Puerto Montt for a tour of the city, which includes the fascinating fish market in Angelmó. Aftewards you will be taken to the airport of Puerto Montt to catch a connecting flight or join one of our other tours.

I just want to drop you a line to thank you for the wonderful job you did. The trip was fantastic and most memorable. I have travelled extensively but I cant speak highly enough of your company in the planning of Peru vacations. The guides were all excellent, the transportation outstanding, and the hotels were great. Thank you again for putting together a most memorable jaunt in Latin America.
Fondest Regards
