The Incas dominated a large part of South America for a short time, but they made quite an impact. Everyone has heard of the lost city of the Incas Machu Picchu. This ruin, found in the mountains of Peru, is the most famous but the Incas constructed impressive and beautiful ruins all over Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

Peru is home to the mainstay of the Inca legacy. The ancient capital or “navel” of the Inca Empire, Cusco, is simply exquisite. Walking the cobbled, Inca walled streets of this town is a lovely experience, there are so many attractions close to Cusco that its sometimes difficult to decide what to do.
