The itinerary that was made for us to include all of the areas that we wanted to visit was excellent, you did a great job in fitting a lot into a 3 week period....... There was no one stand out highlight of our trip as we enjoyed every place we visited and they were all individually exciting and quite different. If we had to pick one it would be a toss up between Easter Island and Machu Picchu. Thank you for all of the organization that went into our trip, we did not have to worry about any aspect other than to turn up at the allotted time and someone would look after every detail for us.
Many Thanks

Carnival History and General Information - Parade Seating
We realize that visiting Brazil is not cheap at Carnival time, so we work with you to try to maintain your budget, giving you plenty of options and offering advice to produce the perfect vacation package.
Below is our suggested itinerary but remember that for a few weeks prior to Carnival there are many events that are free to enter, hotels cost less etc, so if you cannot make Carnival dates or do not have the budget, you could consider coming prior to the main event.
After your arrival in the city of Rio de Janeiro we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the Copacabana or Ipanema areas of the city. Take the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the famous beaches and nightlife if you wish. If you have plenty of time and want to be more active you could take one of our highly recommended optional excusrions shown in the itinerary below.
There will be parades and parties all over the city on every night around Carnival. The main parade night in the Sambodromo is Sunday (passing into the early hours of Monday) and this is the parade that most people try to attend. Please ask us for ticket options.
After breakfast at your hotel we recommend you take our optional half day tour to see one of the new Wonders of the World, the Corcovado. This famous White Christ statue towers over the city of Rio set upon a "hunchback" mountain. The views are unforgetable, you will literally be astounded and use up all your camera memory during the tour! The afternoon will then be free for you to hit the beach, wander and shop. In the evening the fun doesnt stop as there is a parade in the Sambodromo and other events all over the city.

DAY 3 - Sunday
This morning you could take another optional excursion and visit the other very famous Rio de Janeiro landmark, the Sugar Loaf Mountain, which you will ascend by a two stage cable car. The views from this site are also incredible so make sure you have plenty of space on your camera memory card again. As an extra treat (with an extra charge of course!) to you could fly by helicopter from the 1st stage of the cable car ascent, around the Corcovado in the distance. It is not cheap but how spectacular are the views! You then will have some more time to catch some rays on the most famous beach in the world, the Copacabana.
This evening sees the main Carnival parade take place. Look at the information and options in our links above and let us know what you would like to do, there are options on seating arrangements to suit your budget. Be sure to plan ahead!

DAY 4 - Monday
After getting into your hotel in the early hours you will most likely sleep in quite late. You then have the day free to relax and recover at the beach. There will still be events taking place and the city will be buzzing with energy. If you have a specific request for a particular way to spend your day please let us know.
DAY 5 - Tuesday
Today you bid farewell to Rio and we will tranfer you back to the airport for your flight home or to connect with other tours with Escaped to Latin America. While you are in Brazil it would be a shame to not visit Iguasu Falls, the Pantanal or the Amazon for example.
We have plenty of options in all price ranges so please email or call us to discuss your plans.
